Hi everyone!

This is me, Julia Kettinen, writing a blog for Heart2Save! I am more than excited to collaborate with the company and to get the opportunity to share information about the impact golf and sports in general have on health and overall wellbeing.

In 2020 I graduated as MS.c, Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Eastern Finland. I have a special interest in the relationship between sports and physical health and their connection to, e.g. illnesses. I minored in sports nutrition and sports management. I have also graduated from the professional golf coach training organized by the Finnish PGA and Vierumäki, the Sport Institute of Finland, in December 2018.

Naturally, in my studies, I was particularly interested in the health effects of golf and did my thesis on the topic. The goal is to continue studying for a dissertation and focus on researching the health effects of playing golf. In addition to postgraduate studies, I work as a Golf Pro at Master Golf, Espoo.

In my blog, I will focus on the health benefits, especially for the heart, you can achieve by playing golf and exercising. My goal is to get you, readers, to ponder, how you by playing and persistently training golf, not only can improve your swing but also impact your wellbeing. The best way to enjoy golf and life, in general, is to remember to take care of yourself and to invest in your wellbeing.

I hope you get inspired by the blog and get new angles on how to take care of your health. As with many things, it is with the help of small changes and a positive attitude that we get to see results.
